"I've been taking training classes with Karen for over 4 years. I've watched Cooper an out of control dog; who didn't know anything more than sit and down (no stays)...loose leash walking wasn't even in his vocabulary grow into the wonderful, well behaved dog he is today. He knows how to behave in a car, walks well on a leash and can even go into schools and teach kids all kinds of things about being a responsible dog owner. I've said before but I'm proud to say it again Karen is the best DAMN dog trainer I know!" -

"When I heard that Karen Pearce was starting her own pet training business I was excited for her as I know she will be very successful. I have known Karen for several years and I would highly recommend her as a pet trainer. I was a Store Director at a large pet store in San Antonio and she worked for me as a pet trainer. During the years she worked for me I was able to observe her training skills on a daily basis and I was always getting compliments about Karen from her clients. They loved her and most of them took all of her classes from puppy/beginner classes to advanced classes. She is very dedicated and passionate about training dogs and makes it fun for both the dog and the owner. Besides basic dog training, Karen has worked with military dogs, she knows how to teach a dog tricks and agility and her own dogs participate in weight pulling competitions.
We are all well aware that many dogs end up in shelters due to behavioral issues. Karen has made it her goal to keep these dogs out of the shelters by training the owners as well as the dogs. I have seen people who were ready to take their dog to a shelter because of behavioral problems but after taking classes and working with Karen these dogs now have a forever home with their owners. It’s such a good feeling to know these dogs have been saved by just giving them the training all dogs need to make them a good pet. Behavior problems are not the dogs fault if they have never been trained and don’t know they are doing something wrong. If you get a new puppy or have any behavior problems, talk to Karen and let her help you make this dog a permanent member of your family that you can be proud of. Karen has the skill, dedication and passion to get the results you want."

When I got my very first small dog, a little yorkshire terrier I wanted to make sure everything I did for this little guy was as perfect as I could make it. So one of the first things I did was look for the perfect trainer. I knew it was very important to train him well so he would be a really good dog to have around, so this is how it began... Leo, my little two year old Yorkshire terrier and I met Karen when Leo was only four months old. I was looking for someone who really cared about what they were doing, had lots of experience, and had a great passion for training dogs. These were my requirements and it did not matter how far I had to go ( I live two and a half hours away from San Antonio). The day we walked into the class there was Karen with a big smile on her face and she had an obvious great love for dogs in her heart. I knew I was at the right place. She had this awesome dog named Hondo, who could do all kinds of tricks, WOW, amazing. How was I so fortunate to find this person. Leo went for 6 weeks of training, and learned so much more than just tricks. Leo and my bond grew even stronger by working with Karen. Every week she had new things for us to work on together. Leo still uses the training that he learned to this day and it has become invaluable. It has even saved my dog's life by coming when I called him instead of walking into danger. Karen taught him all sorts of commands and a lot of tricks as well. I even brought my other little Yorkshire terrier, Clide, to her and once again I was amazed how well Karen worked with him and all the other dogs in the class. To this day, when I have questions she is there for me to go to, wow, you do not find that just with anyone or just anywhere. The most important thing to me was that Karen really did care. She has so much passion for what she does, and does more than a super job, she does a fantastic job. I'm so glad I found her. I would recommend anyone who has a dog to take them to her class. Why spend so much on a dog, their food, vet bills, etc. and then have a disobedient dog. The money spent on the class is worth every penny. - Kathy

When I first adopted Abby back in '08, she was every dog owner's dream: She learned fast, she was very sweet, and she had a very strong bond to me. There was just one problem: This strong bond quickly turned into one nasty case of separation anxiety. Every time I left the house, she'd chew anything she could get a hold of, and was able to escape her crate no matter what preventatives we set up for her. Abby's chewing quickly racked up over $1,000 in damages, including my carpet, her crate, and my camcorder. She even chewed a hole through my bedroom door. My first dog trainer happened to own Abby's sister, and her dog was just as destructive as Abby. This trainer deemed Abby as a hopeless case, blaming her behavioral issue on genes. Everyone, including the dog trainer, was telling me to return Abby to the shelter and pick a different dog. When I finally found Karen, she handled the situation completely differently. She gave me tips on how to cut the anxiety, and not ONCE did she tell me that I needed a different dog, nor that Abby was a "hopeless case". Karen handles each case individually. Because of that, Abby is now one step away from her CGC certificate and is trained as my Service Dog. After this, I will never go to any other dog trainer. She's now helping me train my two new puppies. Karen is definitely the first and only trainer you should go to. - Anna
